The government has planned to build a new stadium, with a seating capacity of 70,000, at Purbachal city.
The decision has been made in an informal meeting of the cabinet on Monday afternoon.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mustafizar Rahman Fizar said: “The stadium will be built with fully modern facilities, including metro rail service, for smooth transportation.”
“We have already fixed the venue in Purbachal city. Construction will begin very soon,” he added.
