The cabinet has approved optional holidays on Chaitra 29 and Baisakh 2 of the Bangla calender for ethnic people of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) region.
The decision came yesterday at a regular cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan told reporters.
