Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sought more Japanese economic assistance and investment to help achieve Bangladesh's economic goals and uplift.

The Prime Minister came up with the request when Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Shiro Shadoshima paid a farewell call on her at her official Ganobhaban residence in the capital on Saturday morning, reports BSS.

"Japan is our trusted friend and largest development partner since our independence. So, we need more Japanese economic support and investment to attain our economic goals and prosperity," she said.

In this connection, the prime minister assured that her government would provide all kinds of facilities to the Japanese investors.

"Plots have been allocated for the Japanese entrepreneurs in two special economic zones (SEZs) of the country and they could make investment in those SEZs," she said.

The Japanese envoy highly praised the strategic and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and said he is really impressed observing closely her praiseworthy leadership.
