Update : 07 Apr 2015, 06:57 PM

The nose-wheel of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft broke-off while landing at the capital’s Shahjalal International Airport yesterday evening.

However, no casualties were reported.

Noor Islam, assistant director of Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR), told the Dhaka Tribune that the nose-wheel of the aircraft broke when it attempted to land around 4:15pm.

When asked, he said there were two pilots inside the aircraft and there were no casualties.

An official of the airport said the runway was closed for nearly half an hour following the accident. Activities at the airport came to normalcy after the training aircraft was removed.
