Police have recovered a decomposed body of a man from Zia Sharani culvert in Nurpur area of the capital’s Kodomtoli.
The deceased is Shahin, 28, son of Joynal Abedin, resident of Japani Bazar area in Kodomtoli.
Kodomtoli police OC Abdus Salam said: “Being informed, police recovered the body from Zia Sharani culvert around 11am Monday.”
“His father identified the body by the T-shirt and pant owing to the decomposed condition.”
Joynal Abedin said: “Shahin used to work in fish deport. He went missing 14 days ago. We filed a general diary with Kodomtoli police station in this connection.”
The body would be sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital for autopsy, added the OC.
