A Notre Dame College student has been killed after being thrashed by a local transport in the capital on Tuesday.
The deceased is Teutitonious Tripura, 17, a first year student of the college. He was the son of Keowamong Tripura of Jaytunpara at Thanchi upazila of Bandarban district.
Sub-Inspector of Motijeel police station told the Dhaka Tribune The deceased was getting down from a public bus and in the meantime he missed the step and collided with the back wheels of the bus around 12 noon.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) immediately and succumbed to his injuries around 4:30pm, he added.
