The customs officials have arrested five persons with 10kg of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The arrestees are Md Sazzad, 20 , son of Shah Alam, Md Belal Uddin, 36, son of Noor Ahmed, Md Anwar, 36, son of Abul Hossain, Md Alam, 20, son of Mansur, Md Abdul Halim, 36, son of late Abdul.
Dr Moinul Khan, director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate confirmed the incident to the Dhaka Tribune.
Acting on a tip-off, the customs officials arrested five persons from domestic area of the airport. They landed in the airport at 2pm on Sunday by a flight from Dubai via Chittagong.
