At least three people died in separate road accidents in the capital yesterday.
The dead were Majedul Islam, 19, his younger brother Asadul Islam, 18, and Jahangir Alam, 50.
Majhedul and Asadul were construction workers of Cimplex-Navana JV working in the Moghbazar flyover project.
They were taking a break when a Banasree Paribahan bus hit them yesterday morning, said the foreman of the company, Mahfuzur Rahman. Another worker of the company, Monju, 35, was severely injured in the accident.
The injured workers were taken to DMCH immediately where on duty doctors declared Majhedul and Asadul dead. When contacted Ramna police station OC Moshiur Rahman said: “The bus rammed the three workers as its driver lost control of the vehicle around 10am. The two siblings died on the way to DMCH.”
Meanwhile, 50-year-old Jahangir died yesterday evening when a bus hit him near Ahad box of Gulistan. Two pedestrians took him to DMCH where doctors declared him dead.
