A Supreme Court lawyer has sent a legal notice to the authorities of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) requesting them to appeal with the International Cricket Council for punishing the umpires for their wrong decisions in the World Cup quarter-final match between Bangladesh and India.
SC lawyer Eunus Ali Akond sent the notice to BCB team manager, its president, and secretary to the sports ministry on Tuesday morning.
Eunus Ali told the Dhaka Tribune that he asked the BCB authorities to submit the appeal within 24 hours.

Rohit Sharma was caught in the deep. But the umpires declared it as a no-ball considering that it was above Sharma's waist
Rohit Sharma, the Indian opener was given not out in his 90's when he was caught deep in the field. Pakistani Umpire Aleem Dar was quick to rule out the delivery as no-ball claiming that the ball was above the batsman’s waist. The swift decision surprised commentators Shane Warne and Harsha Bhogle who agreed that generally the umpires took a little more time on that decision.
However, the replay showed that the ball was under the waist when the batsman played the stroke.
The batsman went on to score 137.
Tigers faced another horrendous decision when Mahmudullah, the man who scored back to back centuries in previous matches, was given out caught in the deep.
