The International Crimes Tribunal 1 yesterday asked the prosecution to submit by April 15 the formal war crimes charges brought against two siblings – Nasiruddin Ahmed, a retied army officer, now on the run, and advocate Shamsuddin Ahmed, now in custody – of Kishoreganj.
Justice M Enayetur Rahim, chairman of the three-member tribunal, passed the order in presence of prosecutor Sultan Mahmud Simon.
After closing the investigation, war crimes investigation officer (IO) M Ataur Rahman on November 25 last year submitted the conclusive report containing 450 pages against war crimes accused Nasiruddin and Shamsuddin to the office of the Chief Prosecutor.
