A sales representative of mobile operator Grameenphone has been shot dead at Bottola in Jamalpur.
The deceased is Arif Mia, of Shahjadpur village.
Jamalpur OC Rafiqul Islam said he was a sales representative of Grameenphone.
Arif and two other sales representatives --Shahdat and Jakir-- were going to Shorishabari on a motorcycle on Sunday morning.
Assailants shot Arif when their motorcycle reached Bottola around 10:30am and snatched away their bags, mobile phones, SIM and scratch cards.
The duty doctor declared Arif dead when taken to Jamalpur General Hospital.
The OC said they are trying to arrest the culprits.
