A fire has broken out at a bobbin factory at Sataish area in Tongi.
Tongi Fire Station Officer Selim Miah said the fire broke at the SB Kone Bobbin Factory around 6am on Tuesday and spread very rapidly.
The blaze burnt valuables, including paper rolls, and other machineries.
On information, two firefighting units from Tongi went to the spot and extinguished the blaze after two hours of frantic efforts.
“The fire might have originated from a short circuit,” added the official.
