Jannatun Noor Moon, the winner of second runner-up title of Veet Channeli Top Model last year, geared up for another small screen venture titled Prem Jaane Na Rosik Kaala Chand. Written by Anwar Hossain Anu and directed by Shabnam Parvin, the romantic-comedy depicts the local Dhaka milieu where actors will be required to have a local Dhakaiya accent.
In the play Moon is paired with Sajal, popular small-screen actor. Sajal plays the role of a roadside chotpoti vendor while Moon plays an urban girl Chandrabanu. The play’s story takes an unexpected turn when a sweet yet unusual relationship between the chotpoti vendor and Chandrabanu develops.
About her role in the play Moon said: “Acting in the TV play would be a bit challenging for me as I have to utter dialogues in the traditional, local Dhaka accent. I have been practising the accent for quite some time.”
Shooting for the single episode drama is scheduled to start from the 25th of this Month at Uttara, Dhaka. Dr Ezaz and Shabnam Parvin play two other major roles in the play. The drama will be aired on Channel i shortly.
