A minor girl has been killed and four others have been injured in a road accident on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar Highway at Patiya upazila in Chittagong.
The deceased was Moni Akhtar, 08, daughter of Nabi Islam of the upazila, said Patiya Highway police outpost In-Charge (IC) Assistant Sub-Inspector Harunur Rashid.
ASI Harun said a three wheeler-run human hauler carrying six persons was rammed by a BRTC passenger bus from behind at around 12:30 pm on Sunday at Monsa Chowmuhony area of the highway, leaving four critically injured.
They were whisked off at Patiya Hospital where the on duty doctors declared Moni dead, said ASI Harun.
The others injured were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), he added.
