Three people have been killed and six others have been when a train hit a truck in Maijpara area near to Satkhamair railway station under Sreepur upazila of Gazipur.
The deceased are Shikhar Ahmed, 19, son of Kalim Uddin of Mymensingh, Mostafaf Kamal, 55 and Jahangir Alam of Sreepur.
The incident took place at 11am on Thursday when a Dhaka-bound train hit a truck standing close the rail line in the area, leaving three train passengers dead and six others injured, Sreepur Model police station SI Salah Uddin told the Dhaka Tribune.
Of the injured, three were shifted to Dhaka Pongu Hospital, said Sreepur Health Complex RMO Dr Fazlul Haque.
