A fire broke out at a garment factory housed in a multi-storey building in the capital’s Shamoli area.
The fire broke out on the 8th floor of the factory of Bilash Garments at around 11.30pm Tuesday. 14 units of fire fighters brought the fire under control around 12am.
Fire Service and Civil Defence control room Inspector Muhammad Ali endorsed the information to the Dhaka Tribune.
The operation was underway and it will take some more time to compile the report, said the official.
The extent of the damage could not be known immediately and no report of injury was filed till filing the report at 12.55am.
