Tigers are skilled enough to upset any team in the ICC World Cup quarter-finals, said Bangladesh pacer Rubel Hossain.
The fast bowler made the comment while talking to reporters after reaching New Zealand for the last group stage match against the Black Caps.
Expressing his gratitude towards the people of the country for their outstanding support, Rubel said: “The people of our country love us [cricketers] as much as they love Bangladesh. Now its my turn and I will put my highest effort in return for their love,” Rubel said.
“We have now reached the quarter-finals; I think we are capable of upsetting any team in the stage.”
Referring to his outstanding performance in the match against the English team, Rubel said: "This World Cup was a big challenge for me from the beginning. But whenever I get chance in the team, I try to do something special. And I have done exception on the day.”
Rubel took away the win from the English taking two wickets in the crucial 49th over at Adelaide Oval on Monday.
England required 16 runs from last 12 balls of the innings while Bangladesh needed two wickets for victory.
“The last over is memorable to me. It is very special to me, and will remain forever,” Rubel said.
