Two people have been killed in separate road accidents in Akbar Shah of Fatikchari upazila in Chittagong.
The deceased are Onimesh Chowdhury, 45, and Kazi Md Alauddin, 32.
Najirhat Highway police outpost In-Charge Sub-Inspector Mahbub Alam said motorcyclist Alauddin was spotted lying on the road around 10pm on Sunday.
Later, police recovered his body.
It is being estimated that he was hit by an unidentified vehicle as injury marks were noticed on his head, said the SI.
As for the other victim, Akbar Shah police station SI Md Akhtaruzzaman said Onimesh was ran over by a recklessly driven truck at Akbar Shah intersection while he was crossing the road around 10:30pm.
He said Onimesh died on the spot.
