Miscreants have set fire to the land office at Shologhar of Shreenagar upazila in Munshiganj.
Assistant Police Superintendent Md Samsuzzaman said the arson took place at around 11:30pm on Saturday.
He said: "Important documents were saved as locals doused the fire immediately."
However, some parts of the doors and windows of the office building were damaged in the arson attack.
The miscreants could not be caught.
