Chahtra Maitri forms new committee

Bangladesh Chhatra Moitri, a left leaning student body, has formed a 65-member new central committee with President Abul Kalam Azad and General Secretary Arnob Debnath at the end of two-day long 18th council.

The former president of the body Bappaditya Basu announced the committee at a press conference held at the Madhur Canteen of the Dhaka University on Saturday afternoon.

Faruk Ahmed was made vice president.

Other office bearers are Atul Das Alo, organising secretary, Biswajit Roy Sajol, broadcast and publishing secretary, Niloy Roy, office secretary, Biplobi Sarker, financial affairs secretary, Abid Hossain, international affairs secretary, Dishary Azim, political education and research secretary, Monir Hossian, cultural affairs secretary, Abdul Mutaleb, information technology affairs secretary, Biju Roy, social welfare affairs secretary.

Former president and general secretary of the body were selected as an honorable members of the committee.
