A housewife has been shot dead by one of her neighbours following a dispute over land at Sonagazi in Feni district.
The deceased is Hajera Begum, 30, wife of Sobuj Mia.
Sobuj Mia said he had filed a case against his neighbour Jasim Uddin over a disputed land. Hajera Begum was witness in the case.
"Being angered over filling of the case, Jasim shot my wife to death around 11am on Saturday," he alleged.
Sonagazi Model police station OC Nobir Hossain said police recovered the body and sent it to Feni sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
He said the process of filling a case over the incident was underway.
