President Md Abdul Hamid has left Dhaka for London for a medical checkup.
Deputy Press Secretary of the President's office Abul Kalam Azad said the president left Dhaka on a regular flight of Bangladesh Biman at 11am on Friday.
"He is expected to return home on March 15," he said.
Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, deans of diplomatic corps, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, cabinet secretary, chiefs of three services, principal secretary to the prime minister, the home secretary, and civil and military high officials concerned saw him off at the VVIP Lounge of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
