A burn victim, Ranjit, died early today at the Chittagong Medical College Hospital ICU.
He was admitted to the CMCH burn unit on Wednesday, after a firebomb was hurled at an autorickshaw in Chittagong’s Hathazari.
Doctors said he had sustained 82% burn injuries and died around 12:40am.
Meanwhile, seven new firebomb victims were admitted to the burn unit at DMCH yesterday, raising the number of arson victims undergoing treatment there to 54.
Of the victims, three were injured when a petrol bomb was hurled at a truck near Manikganj. Two other patients were injured in a petrol bomb attack on a bus near the Choddoshoto area in Kishoreganj on Wednesday. Two more patients were injured in a petrol bomb attack on their truck near Chandina in Comilla yesterday.
