Ice-cream begins

Update : 05 Mar 2015, 06:02 PM

Noted TV, drama and film maker Redoan Rony has announced that he has begun working on his new film “Ice-cream.”

While Rony’s debut “Chorabali” boasted of a heavyweight cast, “Ice-cream” features new faces in lead roles. Three youths, namely Nazifa Tushi, Raj and Uday, have confirmed to take part in the contemporary love story. Nazifa Tushi, in particular, came to the limelight after being awarded the place of first runner-up at the Lux-Channel i Superstar last year.

Rony said: “I want to do something with newcomers. Nazifa Tushi, Raj and Uday are very promising and are now being groomed to give their best in the film. They have the potential to lead the industry in the future.”

The “Chorabali” director created a buzz in the film industry through his previous action-packed film. “Chorabali” garnered major success both commercially and critically, winning the National Film Award in five categories in 2012. Now he will work with Ping Pong Entertainment, which will be producing his current project.

Although Rony previously announced that he was working on “Morichika,” this other project, his priority remains with “Ice-cream.” Currently the entire “Ice-cream” team set out for Saint Martin’s Island on March 5 and have plans to wrap up the shooting by mid-April.
