Awami League lawmaker Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh has visited the crude bomb victims in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Taposh came at 6:55pm on Wednesday and talked to the victims at the hospital, Mozammel Haque, in-charge of the hospital’s police outpost, told the Dhaka Tribune.
Three people, including a leader of Swechchhasebak League, sustained injuries when a crude bomb went off near the rally stage of Taposh in the capital's Hazaribagh.
The injured are Vice-President of Ward No 22 unit Swechchhasebak League Mukter Hossain, Selim who identified himself as a journalist, and Riaz Ahmed, 40.
Mukter told the Dhaka Tribune: “A crude bomb suddenly went off near the stage at Hazaribagh Park, while barrister Taposh was speaking at around 3:15pm, leaving us injured.”
“Luckily, the lawmaker escaped the explosion.”
The injured were admitted to DMCH around 3:45pm, said Inspector Mozammel Haque.
