Nine public administration officials have been promoted to the post of secretary on Monday.
The public administration ministry issued an order in this connection on Monday.
All of the promoted officials were acting secretaries or at the rank of acting secretary, reads the order.
With the promotion, the number of secretaries reached 72.
The promoted officials are acting Secretary MA Hannan of Liberation War Affairs Ministry, Secretary Shyam Sundar Sikdar of the Information and Communication Technology Division, acting Secretary M Shahid Ullah Khandakar of the Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division, Planning Division's acting Secretary Mohammad Shafiqul Azam, Planning Commission's acting members Arastu Khan and Humayun Khalid, Privatisation Commission acting member Shyamal Kanti Ghosh, Cabinet Division's acting Secretary (Coordination and Reform) M Nazrul Islam, and Anti-Corruption Commission Secretary Maksudul Hasan Khan.
