A person has been killed and five others injured in a balloon gas cylinder blast at a tin-shed house in the capital's Moddho Badda area.
The deceased, Ali Hossain, 35, used to trade balloon gas cylinders.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost In-Charge Inspector Mozzammel Hoque said the blast occurred when they were filling gas in a cylinder.
Later, the duty doctor pronounced Ali dead when he was taken to the hospital around 11:30am on Monday.
The injured are being treated at the hospital, he said.
