Ruhul Amin Talukder has been elected as the president and Anowarul Islam Parvez as the general secretary in the election of Natore Lawyers' Association.
The election was held at the association's office in Natore judge court area on Tuesday. The chief election commissioner for election, Lokman Hossein Badol, declared the result at around 7pm.
Except the president post, the ruling Awami League backed candidates won the rest 10 posts in the election that held annually.
Pro-BNP candidate Ruhul Amin Talukder defeated the pro-Awami League candidate Shushanto Kumar Ghosh, vying for the president candidate.
In the general secretary post, Awami League backed secretary candidate Anowarul Islam Parvez won against BNP backed Abdul Qader.
In this election, Abdur Rashid Sana was elected as senior vice president and Shamsul haq Bhuyan as vice president.
In the different secretary posts, Al Mamun Sarker, Kazi Taj uddin Ahmed Golam, Atikul haq, Anjuwara Parvin Rotna, Mohammad Dil Newaz Mintu, Shitangshu Bhattacharjee, and Arjumand Banu Puspa also won.
