State Minister for power, energy and mineral resources Nasrul Hamid yesterday urged people’s representatives to be involved in motivating people to use smoke-free cooking stoves.
He said this while speaking at a programme organized to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on clean cooking solutions. SREDA and Renewable Energy Development Authority signed the MoU for promoting the use of smoke-free cooking stoves.
The state minister suggested them taking a village under a pilot project for quick implementation of the programme because it will help the government initiative to establish smoke-free kitchens by 2030.
