Jamuna Bank Limited yesterday donated Tk1.5 crore to the relief fund of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in an assistance to the burn victims of the recent petrol bomb attacks, says a media release.
PM Sheikh Hasina received a cheque of the donation from Shaheen Mahmud, chairman of Jamuna Bank Limited.
The JBL’s Director Golam Dastagir Gazi (Bir Protik) and lawmaker Tasmin Mahmud were present on the occasion as well.
Petrol bomb attacks on transports, including passenger buses and freight vehicles, peaked in the country since the indefinite blockade imposed by the BNP came into effect on January 6.
