Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has unearthed a militant training camp in s remote hill area at Lotmoni of Banshkhali upazila.
Five militants were also detained from the camp, in possession of firearms and ammunition. They are Mobassher Hossain, Abul Khaleque, Md Aminul Haque, Hafizur Rahman Bappi, and Amir Hossain.
"Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB 7 conducted a drive in Lotmoni Saturday at midnight and held the militants with arms," said RAB 7 Commanding Officer Lt Col Mifta Uddin.
He said the detained militants gave them sensational information during the interrogation.
"The militants primarily select people from poor families, and bring them to the camp for training," said the RAB official.
