A murder case prisoner has died at Kashimpur Jail in Gazipur.
The deceased is Alamgir Bepari, 56, son of Abdul Hakim Bepari, of Faridpur.
Jahangir Kabir, senior super of Dhaka Central Jail Part 2 in Kashimpur, said Alamgir was taken to the jail hospital as he felt chest pain around 6:30am on Saturday.
Later, he was shifted to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College where doctors declared him dead around 8am.
Alamgir was sentenced to 30 years in jail in a murder case on October 16 last year.
