A suspected criminal, Khokon, has been killed in a gunfight with police at Shohag Bazar under Ishwarganj upazila in Mymensingh.
Meanwhile, police recovered a foreign pistol, two rounds of ammunition, and four crude bombs from the scene.
Ishwarganj OC Akhtaruzzaman said the gunfight occurred when police went to Shohag Bazar to arrest some criminals early Thursday.
"Khokon received bullet wounds during the shootout and later died at a local health complex," he said.
He added that Khokon was an accused in several cases.
The OC said four policemen were also injured in the gunfight.
