The Anti-Corruption Commission has approved the filing of a case against Bangladesh Human Rights Commission (BHRS) General Secretary Dr Saiful Islam Dildar for his alleged involvement in corruption.
In its regular meeting on Tuesday, the commission approved the filing of a case against the executiv director of The Institute of Rural Development, confirmed ACC Public Relation Officer Pranab Kumer Bhattacharya confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune.
The commission would soon file a case against the accused with a police station, said the ACC official.
Earlier, ACC Deputy Assistant Director Mahbubul Alam, also the enquiry official of the allegation, recommended filing a case against him and submitted an inquiry report to the commission.
According to the report, the suspect has misappropriate Tk1,243,545 from the housing fund of the Institute of Rural Development.
