The rail communication of Khulna with the country has been cut off after the derailment of a bogie of a Khulna-bound fertilizer-laden train near Shingia railway station in Jessore.
Assistant Station Manager Saidur Rahman of Jessore Railway Station said the derailment took place at 9:20am on Tuesday.
He said: “The accident snapped the rail communication of Khulna with the country. The railway officials went to spot to investigate the derailment.”
None was injured in the accident.
“It was not any sabotage incident,” said Jessore police ASP Reshma Sharmin.
