Popular small screen actress Ahona has been roped in to PA Kajol’s directorial venture “Chhokher Dekha.”
This is the third film in which Ahona will be pairing up with Symon Sadik.
The first phase of shooting took place in Manikganj and has been completed. The second phase will start next month.
Ahona spoke to the Dhaka Tribune about her new project: “I am playing a dancer who, just as she is about to establish herself, accidentally goes blind.
“But she does not lose faith in her dream. In the end, she becomes a famous dancer because of her dynamism and optimism. Symon’s character, who is in love with mine, helps make her dreams come true.”
“I love my role. It captures the enthralling beauty of dance and show that obstacles need not be limitations,” she says.
Asked about preparing for the role, Ahona said: “I have had to experiment with my gaze and express myself while maintaining an unblinking stare.”
The actress also works regularly on TV series such as “Uramon,” “Noashaal,” “Joyeta” and “Mamar Barir Abdar.”
