A robber has been killed in a mass beating while robbing of a house at Valukia village under Feni sadar upazila.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained.
Quoting the locals, Feni model police OC Mahbub Morshed said a gang of 8 to 10 masked robbers swooped into the house of one Alamgir Hossain and robbed of Tk30,000 along with other valuable things early Monday.
Hearing the victim’s scream, the locals went to the spot and chased the robbers.
“They managed to capture one of them and beat up severely, leaving the robber dead on the spot.”
Later, police recovered the body and sent them to Feni Sadar Hospital morgue, added the OC.
