The government has rescheduled the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams which were scheduled for Sunday due to hartal enforced by the BNP-led alliance.
Now, Sunday’s exams will be held on Friday (February 20).
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid made the announcement in a press briefing on Saturday afternoon.
The exams will begin at 9am and continue till 12pm, the minister said.
The BNP-led 20-party alliance has called for a 72-hour long nationwide hartal from Sunday morning protesting killings, mass arrest, torture on party activists, cutting off food supply to the party chief’s office and restoration of democracy.
