Stars are passionately planning to spend the Valentine’s Day with their beloved ones. From mouth-watering dinners to special tantalising tours, the husbands are making things special for their wives.
The Dhaka Tribune asked three celebrity couples: “What’s on your wish list?” Ananta and Barsha
This Valentine’s Day is extra special for Dhallywood’s sizzling on-screen and off-screen couple Ananta Jalil and Barsha as their first baby boy Aarez adds to the celebration of love. Ananta shared his Valentine’s Day plan with the Dhaka Tribune:
What are some of the ways you two light up the mundane days throughout the year?
Everyday is a Valentine’s Day for us. We express our love in a myriad of ways – by sending SMS saying ‘I love you’ or just a simple heart emoticon. Sometimes I bring a bouquet of flower as a symbol of how special Barsha is to me.
What are your Valentine’s Day plans?
We are not having anything specific on this day. But, three of us will be visiting Bangkok together for the first time on February 19. We are all very excited about this tour.
Any special present for your wife?
My love is a gift to her. And this will never get old.
And what is Aarez getting on Valentine’s Day?
I will give him a platinum locket with Allahu written on it.
Tahsan and Mithila
Tahsan Khan and Mithila are a romantic couple who have contributed their talent in terms of singing and acting. They married on August 3, 2006 and together have a baby girl. Tahsan shared his Valentine’s Day plan with the Dhaka Tribune:
What’s your Valentine’s Day tradition as a couple?
On the day, I have more than two concerts to perform at. So I may not be able to spend much time with my beloved wife. But we will have dinner at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel where we have a favourite restaurant the night before.
What’s your favourite Valentine’s Day memory?
We went to Krabi in Thailand for a weekend. That is a special memory.
Any Valentine’s Day gift that you are proud of?
Mithila loves technology. In 2011, I gifted her an iPad and I am sure she was happy to get it.
Do you enjoy celebrating Valentine’s Day? Or do you feel it is too much of a “Hallmark” holiday?
Previously, we both used to wonder what it was so special about celebrating a day. But, now we think, if there is a day to express love, why not make it special. So we should celebrate love in these days and for the days to come.
Hridoy Khan and Suzana Zafar
Singer and music director Hridoy Khan and model turned TV actor Suzana Zafar tied the knot last year. The duo made a dazzling appearance in Hridoy’s title song “Bhalo Lagena.” Hridoy shared his Valentine’s Day plan with the Dhaka Tribune:
This Valentine’s Day is your first as a married couple. Anything special?
We will be in Chittagong for work. But, we will take some time off to explore the beautiful port city.
Both of us are nature lover, so we will explore some of the scenarios and later will have dinner together. Before marriage, on this day, I used to work and go back home. But, the day has become special for me now.
Who is more romantic you or Suzana?
From my side, I would say, I am very romantic. I always want to hold my wife’s hand. It gives me a feeling of contentment when she is beside me. With a hug I express how much I am in love with this beautiful person.
Did things change after marriage?
Indeed, things changed in a very positive way. I had been independent since I was thirteen. At this point in life, apart from work, I believe, love and affection both are needed.
