Bangabandhu's first press secretary passes away

Khandoker Aminul Haq Badsha, the first press secretary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has died at a nursing home in London on Tuesday.

69 years old Badsha, also the former organizing secretary of Bangladesh Chattra League, and a noted journalist died around 6am on Tuesday, reports BSS. He was suffering from pneumonia. He left behind host of relatives and well-wishers including wife, a daughter and a son to mourn his death. Badsha, the elder brother of noted film actor late Razu Ahmed, was living in London with his family. Journalist and columnist Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury will arrive Dhaka soon with the body of Aminul Haq Badsha. Badsha is likely to be buried in the capital or his family graveyard in Kushtia.

Badsha had obtained MA degree in Social Science from Dhaka University in 1963.

Aminul Haq Badsha, was one of the founder and artist of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra of Mujib Nagar and was appointed as press secretary of Bangabandhu in 1969. He worked for a long time as a correspondent of ATN Bangla, a private television of Bangladesh, in London.

President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shrin Sharmin Chaudhury mourned at the death of Badsha.
