A truck helper, who received burn injuries in an arson, has died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
Shahidul Islam, 38, died of his injuries on Monday night. He was an inhabitant of Daingpara village under Paba upazila of the district.
Earlier, truck driver Saidur Rahman and helper Shahidul were injured when some pro-blockade activists hurled petrol bombs at their sand-laden truck at Mollapara area on February 2.
RMCH Director Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin told the Dhaka Tribune they were admitted to the burn unit of the hospital with serious injuries.
RMCH burn unit chief doctor Afroza Naznin said Saidur was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
