Hundreds of textbooks for the primary school students have been burnt after miscreants hurled petrol bombs on a book-laden truck in Gazaria of Munshiganj.
The driver of the truck sustained burn injuries.
Munshiganj SP Bijoy Talukdar said: "Miscreants threw petrol bomb which hit the front side glass of the truck. The driver and his helper got down before the second petrol bomb attack."
He said police recovered three petrol bombs from the spot.
Miscreants also torched a bus in Maowa old ferry ghat area under Lauhajang upazila on Sunday night.
Maowa naval outpost In-charge Md Yusuf said none was injured in the incident.
