Train communications on the Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes have remained suspended from Saturday evening following the derailment of a compartment of a Chittagong-bound train near Gangasagar rail station area in Brahmanbaria.
Akhaura Railway OC Yasin Faruq endorsed the information to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said four wheels of a bogie of a Chittagong-bound Nasirabad down train from Mymensingh veered off the tracks the area at 7:15pm on Saturday.
The accident snapped the train communications on Chittagong-Dhaka and Chittagong-Sylhet routes.
