A schoolgirl has been killed allegedly after rape at Jagannathpur village of Jessore sadar upazila.
Police recovered the body of class V student Suraiya Khatun from a bamboo bush on Saturday morning.
Kotwali police OC Enamul Haque said they are suspecting that miscreants might have killed the girl after rape.
"Suraiya left for school around 7am on Saturday. Later, villagers found her body at a bamboo bush and then informed the police," said the OC.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
