Islami Chhatra Shibir's Rajshahi Metropolitan unit has called a 48-hour hartal in Rajshahi division from Sunday in protest against the killing of its leader in a police “shootout.”
The announcement was made through a press release signed by Shibir's Publicity Secretary Assaduzzaman on Friday afternoon.
The party leaders and activists will also stage a protest rally in the district on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Information Secretary of Shibir's Rajshahi University unit Shahabuddin was killed in a police “shootout’ at Shamsadir of the district.
