A Chhatra Dal leader has received bullet during a clash with police at Thakurbari of Kolaroa in Satkhira district.
Injured Abdul Mojid, 37, is the president of Kolaroa municipality unit of Chhatra Dal. He was admitted to Satkhira sadar hospital.
Two members of police -- ASI Iqbal and constable Shahadat -- were also injured in the clash.
Satkhira police information officer SI Kamal Hossain said miscreants hurled hand bombs at a police team while they were acting on a tip-off at Thakubari early on Friday.
"In retaliation, police opened fire that left Chhatra Dal leader Mojid injured with bullet," he said.
Later, police admitted him to the hospital.
"Mojid is an accused in four cases including a case filed over the attack on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's motorcade in 2002," said the SI.
