A victim of hand bomb attack during the BNP-led alliance enforced blockade has succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Deceased Kamal Hossain, 35, was a covered van driver.
DMCH police outpost In-charge Mozammel Haque said doctors declared Kamal dead on arrival at the hospital around 4am on Tuesday.
Blockade supporters hurled hand bombs at a rice-loaded pick-up van in Badamtoli area on Dhaka-Lakshmipur highway on Monday evening, leaving Kamal and two others injured.
They were admitted to Lakshmipur sadar hospital. Later, Kamal was shifted to DMCH as his condition deteriorated.
The 20-party alliance has been observing a 72-hour nationwide hartal since Sunday on top its non-stop roads and waterways blockade.
Blockade-related violence has killed more than 50 people over the last few weeks.
Hundreds of vehicles, including those belonging to law-enforcers, were burnt and attacked during the blockade.
The BNP chairperson called the non-stop blockade on January 5 after she was barred from coming out of her Gulshan office.
