An activist of ruling Awami League has been burnt to death after miscreants set fire to his house at Chorpukuria Joggodishpur under Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong.
Mirsarai OC Imtiaz Bhuiyan said miscreants had set fire to one Mohiuddin's house around 12:30am on Sunday. Two others were also injured.
The injured have been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, he added.
CMCH Nayak Shilbroto Barua said they received bullet wounds.
The OC said: “We are trying to find out if there is a political motive behind the incident.”
