Speakers from different spheres of life on Friday urged the BNP-led 20 party alliances to stop killing innocent people in the name of politics.
The speakers made the statements while speaking at a rally, “protest for peace” at the central Shaheed Minar premises on Friday.
Professor Anoawar Hossain said “those who are purpotrating the violence are monsters, and we, the public should stand against them.”
Seeing their subversive activities, it seems that this not the Bangladesh that we won in exchange of the lives of 30 lakh freedom fighters.
Journalist Abed Khan said the party that is not loyal to our constitution has no right partake in Bangladesh's politics.
Only those who are on the side of the liberation war of Bangladesh and believe in it as well will perform politics here in this country, he added.
Among others, Professor Abdul Mannan, Ramendru Majumder, Professor Mesbah Kamal, former information commissioner Sadaka Halim were also present.
