A truck driver and his helper have sustained burn injuries as blockaders hurled petrol bombs at the vehicle at Arpara bazar under Shalikha upazila in Magura.
The injured are truck driver Milon, 35, and helper Imarul, 18.
Driver Milon said he lost control over the steering and the truck fell into a nearby ditch after blockade supporters hurled petrol bombs at the vehicle around 3am on Wednesday.
He said other staffs of the truck rushed them to Jessore Medical College Hospital.
However, Shalikha police OC Biplob Kumar Nath said: "Blockade supporters set fire to tyres on Jessore-Magura road. The truck plunged into a roadside ditch while taking turn to escape the fire. Meanwhile, the blockaders set the truck afire."
He said police rescued the trucker and his helper from the spot.
